WHEN YOU’RE RIPE FOR A CHANGE IN YOUR BIZ – BUT DON’T KNOW HOW

Something wants to change in your business. No, let’s rephrase that. It NEEDS to change.

Don’t get me wrong… You’ve been at this a while and you’ve got some things down for sure.

You’ve got clients and you’re earning money (woo hoo!), and you feel great about the impact you’re having on people.

And you’re NOT in crisis mode. Things are – ostensibly – going pretty well.

Aaaaand…

There’s something you really want to do differently. But you just haven’t had the bandwidth to make it happen.

I mean, how the heck do you design, promote and fill a brand new workshop, group program or retreat, redesign your business model, or rebrand your business when you’re already feeling maxed?

Plus, you might not even know HOW to make the change even if you DID have time for it.

(Not to mention, it can be a *little* scary and lonely, standing at the precipice of the Canyon of Major Change with a million unknowns, except for the fact that you’re clearly not totally happy with your business anymore, and you know something else wants to happen).

I get it.

So where do we even begin?!

How do you get across this canyon to a new, more inspiring, aligned, lucrative evolution of your business?

Well, I’ll tell you.

1. TIDY UP YOUR EXISTING BIZ

Before we cross this canyon and embark on a new project in your business, we have make space in your business as it is.

Just like the river bank guides the flow of a wild river, you need to strengthen your boundaries by systematizing your admin processes, creating a calendar that actually works for you, finding an assistant (or a better one!), examining your rate structure, and maximizing how you package up and sell your work to leverage your time better.

In essence, we need to tidy up your existing business (think Marie Kondo for your biz – everything in its place and sparking joy!), to open up space to create something new and inspiring

2. BETA TEST THE SIMPLEST VERSION OF YOUR BIG PROJECT

Now you’ve created the structure, a bridge, to cross that canyon and manifest your new project.

But to cross, you’ll need break it down piece-by-piece and set an achievable goal to get your new offering out into the world.

Generally this is a beta test, or a very simplified version of your new program.

Because nature evolves and iterates… humans/trees/animals did not appear overnight, my friend. Nope, business – like all life – is not a linear process.

We actually move around the cycle over and over: put a new offering out there, get feedback from the environment, learn, improve, and gain more experience and confidence as we go.

And we do this beta testing a) so you don’t get burnt out, and b) so you can actually deliver your new offer sometime this century – and get invaluable feedback from your new customers (instead of creating some ginormous, expensive program without testing it and getting ‘crickets’ for a response).

3. MAKE LIKE AN ECOSYSTEM AND GET HELP

We cannot do this alone. You play one mere role in your business ecosystem, and there are so many other roles to be filled by other people.

That’s how a healthy, stable, robust ecosystem works.

Big changes are super hard to make when we deny the reality that we NEED one another for both emotional and logistical support.

So organize those business mastermind sisters, find a coach or mentor, snag that tech genius, and hire that darn VA already for crying out loud. Or better yet, do all four!

Because on the other side of the canyon you stand at now is more alignment, ease, creativity, money and time for the things you love in life besides work.

It’s possible to get there.

And it will take some time, effort and support.

But when you gotta do it, you gotta do it. Right?
