In every business, there are tasks and projects that are repeated weekly, monthly and annually. Yet, most often each time these activities are started one must remember what was done last time, where the correct collateral is, what websites to use, and how to find that strange out of the way accounting data needed for the report. Working this way- whether alone or with a team can mean many wasted hours re-creating the wheel. Plus small or BIG parts of the project often fall through the cracks or have to be finished in a rush.
There is another way…. you can systematize these repeated activities so that you’re completing them easily, faster and more consistently. The fancy word for these systems is Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs for short).
SOPs can be as simple as how to answer the phone in a company to complicated manuals on how one creates and manufactures a new product or service. For most of us solo-preneurs, we need simple SOPs that allow us to use less brain power to complete repeated tasks and pass these off to assistant without much training or oversight. The type of SOPs that you’ll most likely need are ones for marketing activities, like newsletters and social media posting or for client on boarding or for program/ product launches.
We’ll spend an hour learning how to create, use and maintain up to date SOPs for your business. And you’ll walk away from this training with the skeleton of your very first SOP to flush out with your personal details in an easy and quick way.
